Gaaaa!!!! I am NOT a sock puppet!

OK, I feel the need to rant just a bit, and since absolutely no one is following this Blog, it’s a safe place to scream without being noticed! I’ve joined BlogSpot in order to follow and comment on other blogs I enjoy reading, some public and some private. All this was set up of course with my older e-mail account. Apparently, Google will not be satisfied until I migrate over to their platform which links to their e-mail account.

I’ve avoided the migration, thinking it would be confusing to those I follow, but I have had difficulties logging on to my older account. This always happens whenever the folks in our MIS department are inclined to enhance our productivity by tweaking the system, forcing us to spend several days of lost work sorting through the wonderful productivity enhancements that are supposed to save us time. I think I might shoot the next technogeek who starts off saying, “it would be really cool if…” But I digress.

So… Google tells me the migration will be a snap! They must have hired the same folks who work for us. All I wanted was an account to follow others’ blogs. Oh no – I need to have a blog of my own! So here I am with my very first entry that no one will see, venting about being forced to decide really important stuff, like what kind of template shall I use to signal my thoughts to the world that is not listening.

But what is the point of all this? Oh yes, to all my friends who have Blogs that I’m following, if you see my account twice as a follower, I hope you don’t think I’m a sock puppet setting up all these alternate identities. See, I’m still crazy, but I want to be a classy crazy.

I’m thinking that Google may have made a mistake, letting me blog about random thoughts that swirl around in my mind. I wonder how long before they force me to “migrate” elsewhere…

Thanks for letting me vent. I promise not to bite – that hard at least.

I seeeee yooooooou. A little late, but still.

    Scared yet?

Actually, I've seen you hanging around Sher's place for a while, so decided to take a closer look. Don't be afraid, I won't bite.

Wow – my very first comment ever. Thanks kjax for being my first. I'll always hold a special place in my heart for you. I just hope I don't get all clingy like other virgins do when they… er… never mind.

    Thanks for being gentle. πŸ˜‰

Re: the OCD Chick. Get used to being ignored Bud. Women are like that. The more you attention you pay to them the more they take you for granted. It's a fact of life!
That's why I remained single for 44 years!

I was blogging for a long time before I wised up and quit.

Maybe you can stalk kjax, I know her, I think she's stalkable!

Aw shucks now TSG. I was only teasing OCD a bit, feigning offense. Besides, I'm used to being ignored – been married for almost 30 years now. Not really looking to stalk anyone, just follow a number of folks who manage to twang my funny bone or touch me with their words. OCD's definitely one of them. Where have you been? I haven't seen you around much the past month or so.

Now that I have a whopping three comments (well, technically two if you don't count mine…) I'm worried I might actually have to write an article or two on Random Thoughts.

Sher's modus operandi has changed drastically over the last few years, twittering and all. I just can't keep up with her. Plus the non Ermas constant boasting and lack of anything interesting has me running for the woods, where I'll remain for a while.

Hi, I’ve come across your blog via Laurie Kendrick’s. I read a few posts and I like what I’m reading. You have great wit, perhaps a little on the introspective/intellectual side.

I like to collect blogs of interesting people. You seem like one. As for me, I’m a former biotech geek turned stay-at-home mom of three girls who’s happily married (not stalkable by any stretch). I am tired of bland people, though, and have a bit of an internet addiction because of the bland people I live around.

So, you have a son, you were (are?) married 30 years, so that puts you at fifty something, unless you were married in your teens.

You “used to being ignored – been married for almost 30 years now.” Ouch. Shame on your wife. It shouldn’t be like that. Good conversation, good sex (hell even mediocre sex is better than nothing) makes for a good marriage.

“Not really looking to stalk anyone, just follow a number of folks who manage to twang my funny bone or touch me with their words”. Yeah, me too. I can’t get enough of that.

I think I’ll check out around here more, if I see more of what I like I’ll add you to my blogroll.

I have to check out that Dvorak link. I’m more of a fan of Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, Chopin, and Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky. I hope Dvorak is not as mild as Debussy (Debussy puts me to sleep).

by the way…you need to blog more. I’d love to read more of your thoughts.

Yes this is a common problem when one wishes to follow or at least read up on other peeps on alternative networks, I have a friend on Bebo but I am unable to access his Space without actually adding one for myself, so that is definitely not going to happen as I do not want Spaces all over the Internet. Actually it was a bit of a pain in the…

Well a pain to migrate from WLS to here but this has turned out to be a positive move and I am pleased that Microsoft teamed up with WorPress for this venture as it has certainly added an optimistic edge for all of those that decided to migrate here.

As for the other blogging networks, just to pick out a few one can add comments to Blogspot and Blogger but the ID boxes don’t always function properly and so this error means adding a comment as anonymous, which is ridiculous really when we have profiles and avatars but there you go, that is technogeeking at its worsed for you 😦 lol

Looks like ranting on is catching…
Have a great weekend Phil and have fun πŸ™‚

Yikes! Hard to believe it has been three years – though the original rant was on Blogger, from which I’ve since migrated to WordPress. But looking back, I still see that I’m just as crazy – LOL.

Dolly, thanks for swinging by and reminding me of that! I do hope you are well and enjoying yourself.
